About me

Ilya Belov

I started my journey in Moscow, looking at the sky, reading books about physics, and thinking of outer worlds. Now I build simulations and write about what I learn.

I started my journey in Moscow, looking at the sky, reading books about physics, and thinking of outer worlds. That early pull — equal parts wonder and stubborn curiosity — never really let go.

What I work on

These days I build small, interactive simulations: a mass on a spring, a double pendulum tipping into chaos, gravity choreographing a handful of orbits. The goal is always the same — to turn a wall of equations into something you can grab with the cursor and feel.

Alongside the code I keep a notebook of derivations and half-finished ideas, which slowly become posts on the blog.
